Our Director, Myra Hamid, is an 'Alimah with a Wifaq al-Madaris al-Arabiyyah Pakistan 'alimiyyah degree. She has further undertaken a rigorous two-year Ifta Specialization (Mufti) Program at Whitethread Institute UK, during which she answered over 1000 questions on a variety of topics in the context of contemporary demands and sensitivities. The topic of her thesis was “Shari'ah Considerations in Online Business- A Step by Step Analysis.” She has been teaching Islamic legal texts for the last fifteen years, and has researched extensively into Islamic family law.
Myra Hamid has a Bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College, New York and a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland, USA. She is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) credentialed Certified Life Coach, a Certified Mentor and Support Group Facilitator, and an experienced Trainer.
She founded and has been heading a UK-registered online institute for Islamic education, self-improvement, and holistic wellness for women for the last eleven years, which grew under her supervision from a modest set-up of six students and one teacher to now include hundreds of students from over twenty countries, and a staff of dozens of teachers and administrators. She also runs multiple successful business ventures and non-profit platforms. She is married with three children. She has lived in the USA, Malaysia, Morocco, the GCC and Pakistan, and works online with clients from around the world.
